it's a blizzard out there!

the snow whirled around us all day long! our hike at west deane park was the highlight of these pups day.. Oscar, Maya & Maddie ran at large, getting a head start down the trails. Megan & Muskoka wandered around just in front, exploring all the scents around. Odin was interested in ice skating.. he took every opportunity to get in the cold, cold water. sooo happppy!! Harley stayed close behind me.. I'm sure for the additional body heat :)
Dyte, Dora and Bailey were troopers in the crazy snow that blew all around us today.
at the lampton park.. the sun came out, just in time to join us. the sun & snow went back & forth, keeping us on our toes with the changing weather conditions. Cookie, Princess, Ben, Belle, Pepper, Otto & Jasper took over the trails & had a blast while doing so! the group was very cohesive & we all trekked along together with many added adventures.

a lil taste of the tropics!

Hunter joined Harley, Bandit, Maddie, Megan & Maya at Marie Curtis park for a morning romp.. the pups were very social and started a race train through the park.
Dora, the explorer showed me the nearby schoolyard while Dyte strutted her sweet stuff down the street!
the A Dog's Way packs took both our treks to the lake.. the dogs did laps through the park, lakeside with sun shining skies! we found sheltered spots that gave us a lil taste of the tropics! :)

Jake, Odin, Belle & Dutch tossed the two tennis balls that we brought to the park back & forth, managing to lose both by the time we were headed out! Oscar was full of energy & found many perfect playmates at the park, including bestie Belle. she was saved once another young pup arrived and stole his attention. Dixie & Pepper followed behind me, watching all of the action take place. Dixie took cover between my feet at times, while Pepper jumped in with a playful woof at others.
Muskoka, Lila, Cookie, Molly, Princess & Maddie couldn't contain themselves when we arrived at the park.. they flew out of the car, all with bounding energy & tore around the park. there was tons of fun to be had and each of the pups found it all!

"stay away from yellow snow!"

all the pups were nose-deep in snow all day! they sniffed out many new spots, and I reminded them.. to stay away from the yellow snow!
Maddie, Maya & Harley greeted Hunter for his morning romp.. we peacefully trekked through the Cawthra Woods, making our own trails through fresh paths. the pups found quite a few appealing spots & all gathered closely.
the ladies were out with the sunshine today.. Muskoka, Megan, Princess, Maddie & Molly headed to James Gardens to walk through the scenic trails. it was white & bright all around, and the pups trotted down the paths. the dogs were sniffing out the wild smells that were left behind by other animals.
Dyte went for a short strut, while Dora took me for a walk!! both were great midday breaks :)
at high park.. Oscar, Dutch, Lila, Belle & Ben tore through dog hill, then headed to the trails for some more outdoor fun!

just singin' in the rain!

the rain came down all day long.. and the pack splashed through the puddles!
Maya, Maddie & Bandit perfectly walked through the neighbourhood.. the rain didn't slow us down!
Bailey toughed out the rain on his midday break, we tried to use the nearby trees as coverage.
at the lambton park.. Belle, Ben, Cookie, Jasper, Pepper & Princess raced right into the puddles that framed the trails.. that didn't stop us from exploring new paths.
Megan was picked up for camp and joined Jake, Dixie, Muskoka, Odin & Oscar at Marie Curtis.. for laps, fetch and each managed to bring sandboxes home. dirty dogs are happy dogs!!!

winter has officially arrived

the snow came down all morning & was picturesque... the campers were ecstatic for the white blankets across the ground. Ferris, Maddie, Maya & Sinclair were happy to just sit outside watching the flakes as they fell to the ground.. Rex & Harley watched from their warm, cozy beds inside. the pack headed out shortly after for a romp around the block, enjoying the winter scene.
we took our time getting around.. Belle, Ben, Dutch, Lila, Oscar & Otto ran to the park to enjoy the winter wonderland!! the snow made for some good pup fun.. their noses were dug deep & paws covered in snow.
Dyte & Dora trooped through the snow, despite their wee pitter patters.. they buried their faces in the freshly fallen snow.
Hunter took the ladies to explore one of his fave spots, the Cawthra Woods.. Princess, Muskoka, Maddie & Megan escaped into the forest, racing in & out of the trees... they were a happy pack & I enjoyed the sight of such happy dogs! :)

the rain was kinda on our side today =|

the rain seemed to slow just as we set out for each walk, except for Harley's run at the end of the day. when Abby arrived, we had indoor play time then headed out to splash around in the puddles!
at the lambton woods, the trails were wet but the pups stayed relatively clean :) Cookie forgot her listening ears at home & was onto something that had all of her attention! Ben, Belle, Jasper & Megan raced up & down the hills, tearing from one side to the other. Princess & Otto followed quietly behind, well behaved and watching all of the action.
Milo, Juno, Maddie & Abby bounded out of camp to meet Odin, Muskoka & Oscar at Marie Curtis park.. all of the pups took turns playing with one another and the group had a lot of fun together! the cohesive pack made me proud :)
Harley headed out for a run.. and trooped out the rain! we picked up the pace & headed back earlier...I didn't mind!

sunshine so bright!

Bandit, Maddie, Milo, Juno & Harley went to Marie Curtis to start their day with a few laps of chase & fetch.. we got the park ready for the next crew that included Jake, Dixie, Odin, Oscar, Muskoka & Hunter. today, I was prepared with my chuck-it to help with a fierce game of fetch for Jake & Odin.. both had their own tennis balls and chased in both directions. between tossing throws, Muskoka kept my feet warm, staying clear of Oscar's kisses while Dixie was friendly with the few wee pups that visited the park during our outing. Hunter did his own thing, following his nose from corner to corner of the park.
Afrodyte escaped for a brief breath of fresh air & ray of sunshine :)
our afternoon romp consisted of laps through the trails nearing the Humber River, as we did figure 8's up & down the hills. the pups were alive with energy.. Belle, Ben & Cookie raced around Pepper & Lila, while Dutch & Megan circled the group.
Pepper accompanied Watson for his neighbourhood romp.. the sunshine was bright & each happily strolled the streets.
the ladies were out this afternoon..Molly, Maddie & Princess headed lakeside to enjoy an off-leash romp through the nature trails along the waters edge. they were all full of energy & adventure!

grey skies ahead

the sun was still rising when Harley, Maddie, Milo, Juno & Bandit headed out for a morning run.. it was smooth sailing once we got moving.
the A Dog's Way pack ran into our two fave packs at the park... Megan was happy to see ol' friends Ugy & Rosie, part of her previous pack. Ben fun policed the group, paying special attention to Cornelius & Bobby. Jasper had friendly frolics with Riley, after being "taken advantage of" by wee lil Ugy. Cookie had Amber on her tail, chasing through the park & getting all the pups attention! Belle was most interested in jumping in the lake, then rolling in the dirt.. sure she could become a chocolate lab by time we were through at the park :) Princess wandered the fields as a lone dog, sniffing out the scene. Pepper stayed close, woofing at the nearby frolics.. he was full of energy & spunk!
Dyte was a happy girl & enjoyed a belly rub before finishing up on her potty break.
Muskoka, Otto, Odin, Oscar, Jake & Dixie were full of energy & sounds on their afternoon romp. Oscar was obsessed with Muskoka, showering her with kisses & love bites <3 Odin & Jake were vocal about fetch.. Odin went from tennis to baseball, woofing to get one tossed while Jake howled at the kickball, making it difficult to pass his awesome defense! Dixie & Otto stayed out of the way, dodging all of the crazies :) smart pups!
back at camp, the pups were ever so happy to head out for a neighbourhood stroll.. the sun was setting as we walked, watching the skies that were pink & picturesque!

way to start the week off on the right paw!

this morning started bright & early.. Max, Milo, Maddie, Juno, Harley and Hunter headed lakeside to Marie Curtis Park to frolic & romp around. the pups circled around, chasing after one another.. it was quite the sight for dizzy eyes!
Belle, Dutch, Pepper, Lila & Oscar arrived to the lake to crashing waves.. the group was happy & enjoyed exploring inside & out of the gates. the mucky paws proved our good time!
Dyte was happy to just be outside! she took care of business.. then laid down in the middle of the sidealk to take in the fresh air & sunshine. what a nice break!
later in the afternoon, Ben took ladies Maddie, Molly, Megan, Princess & Muskoka, and showed them off at the park. the pups followed close & we had a very easy going walk :) all very happy!

extra long walks for all!

Kaya, Belle, Dutch, Megan, Pepper and Princess joined pup friend, Hershey, bright & early for an extra long trek at the lake. in lieu of the beauty day, we spent extra time out enjoying the day!
Lincoln joined Lila, Muskoka, Oscar, Otto, Fergie, Lily & Harley for quite the adventure through West Deane park.. we explored new paths & made our own trails through the forest. what a mess! the warmer temps made for muddy pups.. we took 'a dirty dog is a happy dog" to a whole new level! it was a perfect walk to end the packs week off!
Hunter was happy to head out for an evening stroll.. the night was calm & mild, we both enjoyed each others company!

racin' & chasin' all day long

Abby arrived at camp, and started off the fun bright & early! Fergie & Kaya romped around the yard, engaging in a playful chase while Lily & Harley watched from the sidelines. before heading out for the day, Abby, Fergie & Harley went for a run through the neighbourhood.
Cookie, Odin, Oscar, Otto, Pepper & Abby headed to the lake for a playful walk.. Cookie was happy to see puppy, Amber from another pack.. the two tore through the park with Abby & Oscar close behind. they all had a ton of fun with each other! Odin was more interested in fetch.. but got Abby's attention with that! we tossed the ball around the park and had most pups running. Otto & Pepper walked through the paths, exploring & sniffing out the grounds..  both chasing after the racing groups as they passed nearby.
Bailey, Dyte & Olive enjoyed breaths of fresh air and were quick to take care of business. they were happy to check out the scene in their neighbourhoods on their midday breaks.
Belle, Ben, Jasper, Megan & Muskoka tore through high park.. excited to meet friends, new & old. each were social and adventurous as they trekked through dog hill & the trails. it was mild & made for a very happy walk for all!
back at camp, Lincoln joined the crew for a frolic at a nearby park.. they all got out their crazies, meeting a fun friend who shared his game of fetch with the others. they got back to camp ready for a chillin' evening :)

what's that over there in the bushes?

the packs headed to the humber & west deane trails for their daily adventures!
our first outing was filled with fun & wagging tails.. what a perfect walk to start the day! :) Dutch & Megan trekked through, finding many sticks to carry & toss along the way. Molly and Pepper were looking for lots of love and used their big, brown eyes to get it. Ben & Belle found something stinky in the bushes and rolled around.. coming away from it as happy as can be! both got the royal wipe & spray down treatment. Lila raced from pup to pup, joining in on all the fun she encountered.
Cookie, Odin, Muskoka & Oscar explored new grounds as they raced up & down the hills & trails. the new sights & smells got all the pups attention! the new scenery was just what our afternoon walk needed :)
Hunter was happy to head out for his afternoon romp.. we strutted through the streets & enjoyed off leash time in the nearby school yard.
Kaya, Fergie, Lily & Harley went for an evening stroll as sunset darkened the skies.. they each tugged in all directions, sniffing out the neighbourhood scents. back at camp, the pups indulged in dinner & an evening snooze!

brrrr... today is a cold one!!!

Jasper, Ben, Belle, Pepper, Otto & Oscar headed to the trails by the Humber and tore through the fields. at first, the cold didn't even phase one pup! Jasper, Ben, Belle & Oscar made friends with other packs, initiating play & rounds of chase .. how fun!! Pepper & Otto jumped in at times, looking for a frolic. we knew it was time to leave when myself, Otto & Pepper were huddled for each others warmth... Jasper was right along side, with Ben, Belle & Oscar still romping around on the way out.

Dyte had her own fur jacket on and was ready to go.. on our walk back home, she went fresh faced into the wind & took in the crisp, fresh air.

Odin & Muskoka stopped in at camp to pick up Kaya, Lily, Fergie & Harley for an afternoon walk at Marie Curtis Park. brrrr... the wind off the lake was bitter, and Harley was not impressed!!! Odin held on tight to his tennis ball, finally giving it up for rounds of fetch. Fergie chased him, in between her romps with other playful pups. Muskoka, Kaya & Lily spent their time at the park sniffing around, joining in some fun or just chilling & laying around! Harley, all bundled up, waitied very patiently to leave!

who's up for a polar bear swim?

Pepper joined Harley & the campers. Maya, Lily, Connor and Fergie for a romp at Humber Bay Shroes Park. it was a windy one today.. but we found corners & nooks that sheltered us! Connor & Fergie didn't waste time & braved out the lake, jumping in for a polar bear swim... brrr!! Maya trailed along the rocks popping her head in & out of them, looking for furry critters. Lily, Pepper & Harley stayed close.. checking in for pets & joining the chase when the others circled around us.

A Dog's Way enjoyed the holidays with lots of pup love & fun. it was filled with many adventurous walks & outdoor fun, along with pooch cuddles & kisses.

we are looking forward a year full of happy tails & happy trails!!! may 2012 be yet another awesome year :D
