another hot one..

The pups and I took it easy today, making sure to seek out shade and water at every chance we could. Due to the extreme heat, we shortened our walks a wee bit to keep the pups comfortable. Belle, Olive, Ben and Rocky headed to High Park where we followed the shady trails to keep cool. At the creek.. Otto, Baxter, Harry, Jake, Harley and Hero all took a dip in the water to cool off. We stayed close to the waters edge as we travelled through the park so the pups could make frequent stops for a splash. Dixie was happy to see Jake and I return, she enjoyed a romp and pee break in the yard.

Perfect start to the work week. Bapsi and Watson enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air out on their stroll..both taking care of 'business'. Baxter, Belle, Molly, Olive, Ben and Dutch headed to the creek for an afternoon splash. It was hot hot hot and a perfect way to spend their walk.

too fun!

Bapsi was too busy rolling in the grass, that she didn't realize she continued to roll down the hill. She would get up, walk right back up the hill and do it all over again. Bapsi must've done it about 7 or 8 times... she didn't want to leave. Bailey walked lakeside and made plenty of stops to pee. By the end, he was just having fun lifting his leg.
Abby had a mid-day snack at the creek. She enjoyed an apple buffet right from the tree. Baxter prefered the all-you-can-eat salad bar. He even ventured across the creek for a fresh batch of grass. Darby joined another terrier at the park in a barking challenge, both wanted to be heard. Abby and Darby tore around, playing with one another, Otto stayed back telling them to keep away when they got too close. Otto followed me to the water, and waded in it while the others played. As we were leaving the park, Harry stopped for a final roll. After calling him to come, he clumsily ran towards the group with a silly face on. I knew he had been up to no good, I could smell him coming. The pups went for another swim so Harry could be washed off. and, Harley was there  :)
Milo, Rocky, Olive, Ben and Belle took over the boardwalk as they faned out around me. Olive kept trying to get Belle to play as we walked. Milo's favourite spot to stop & mark was the trash bins. Rocky stayed right by my side, keeping close so I could pat his head. Ben switched sides a few times. He steered away from the tackles and the back of the pack.

extra park time

Today Dutch, Molly, Olive, Belle, Ben and Abby spent lots of extra time at the Creek. The sun was shining and the weather was sweet... the pups were moving their dancing feet.

waves were a rockin'

Casey was full of energy today heading out with her pals, Hunter and Charlie. She had a special jump to her step and got the other pups interested in certain spots along the way. On Bapsi and Watson's morning walk, the waves in the lake were rockin'.. splashing at the shore as we walked along it.
Belle, Olive, Ben and Rocky stormed into High Park at top energy. Belle and Olive encouraged the other pups to play. Soon enough, there was circles of dog on the hill. Ben and Rocky were excited to be on the move. Through the trails, the pack stayed close meeting other pooches along the way. What a happy crew!
At the Creek, Otto and I had to jumped over a snake that was on the path. The snake caught us both by surprise. Wow! Harry was full of energy and went wild today. Harry and Abby, the lab looked just the same as they tore around in circles. At the rock beach, Harry, Jake and Abby were fetch obsessed. Darby preferred to stay at the waters edge and bark hoping to get the attention of the others. Jake was first to the stick in the water while Abby followed close behind and started tug-of-war while swimming back to shore. Sometimes, Jake would give it up to Abby and she would lose interest.. that's when Harry jumped in. He would grab the stick and go. He was happy to chew on it at the side lines. Most sticks ended up downstream.
Perfect day of walks   :)

gray skies

The gray skies may have been upon us today, but that didn't stop the A Dog's Way pack from spending a couple of hours at the Creek. Dutch, Baxter, Belle, Abby, Olive and Molly had a great time splashing around in the water and scouting the trails as we walked through. The pups were pooped on the ride home  :)

At the Creek..Baxter, Otto, Belle, Abby and Harley formed as a pack walking through the trails from beach to beach for a dip. At High Park... Olive, Ben, Rocky and Dutch travelled the trails stopping to smell their fave spots.

Hunter and Charlie loved their morning walk, each of the boys took turns stopping to pee along the way. At the Etobicoke Creek, Abby, Ben, Harley, Olive, Sammy and Otto were in dog heaven. Abby swam til her hearts content. Ben even joined her in the water to splash around. Harley was attacked by red ants, poor guy! Olive got the pups to run and chased around Ben and Abby through the playtime. Sammy missed having Buddy to follow behind. She rolled in the grass so much when she got up, she didn't know what direction to face. Otto had a great big grin from ear to ear at the rock beach. He happily stood at the waters edge and dipped his toes into the water.
Milo, Rocky, Harry, Baxter and Belle received big smiles left, right and center. Each person walking by had a favourite pup and gave them a big smile as they passed.

Ben, Abby and Harley passed out by my feet tell me they had a great day with Molly, Olive, Belle, Dutch and Harry. Pups can't wait til tomorrow...

'my stick'

At High Park, the pups made an entrance to dog hill. They galloped down the hill, greeting the other pups in the park. Otto rolled around in the sand as soon as he arrived. Belle saw her friends from another pack from afar and headed for a romp with her pal, Rusty. Olive made friends with another boston terrier and they tore around in the dirt. Rocky was happy to stay close to me, with many people in and around the park. Harry convinced people to help him with his scratches...he was happy when they did.
At the Creek..Ben, Jake, Abby and Harley hit the first beach and jumped right into the water. Jake informed me that I forgot something to throw, so he barked until we found a stick. Ben and Abby joined in for fetch and each took turns with the stick. Jake would fetch, ready for the next throw into the water. Ben would grab it and go, forcing the pups to chase him. Abby then would take an end and Ben & Abby would play tug-of-war while Jake tried to retrieve it. Harley watched on as the others circled around him.
Bapsi and Watson went for an afternoon lakeside stroll. The weather was perfect and the pups had no complaints.
Casey was waiting for me at the gate, while Hunter and Charlie came running when I arrived. The pups were happy during their walk and took care of business while out.

monday fun day

Baxter, Molly, Olive, Ben, Belle and Dutch headed to High Park for an afternoon walk. We marched along the trails, each taking turns leading the pack. We met lots of fun pups along the way and they were very friendly to each other. The pooches had fun!

weekend time..

Watching the sun try to peak from behind the clouds... it's trying to come out for the pups and I later. Looking forward to seeing Bapsi with her one bow left, Baxter who helicopter tails as we head out for the walk, Otto..sporting his new 'do, Olive being her puppyself, Belle staying out of the water, Rocky with his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth, Dutch, the big kid and Ben, with his token beagle bark.

oh, what a day!

Abby, Harley and Zok hit the streets first thing in the morning, the sidewalks were ours. Hunter, Casey and Charlie followed.. we stopped at the apple tree, the pups were interested in the fallen apples. Bapsi took an extra long route and enjoyed every minute of it. Belle, Olive, Ben, Rocky and Milo demanded attention as they walked along the boardwalk. Before heading home, we stopped at a log for a moment under a big tree where we all enjoyed the fresh, cool breeze off of the lake. They all were very happy pups. Baxter, Harry, Abby and Harley took their energy to the creek where we had a very peaceful, sunny walk including a stop at the rock beach where each pup headed in their own direction and explored.

Despite the gorgeous weather, High Park was quiet. The pups and I didn't mind one bit. Buddy, Sammy, Olive, Otto, Belle and Baxter charged through the park as if it was their own.
Jake, Harry, Zok, Abby and Harley took a stroll along the path down the Etobicoke Creek enjoying the scenery.
Hunter has returned and joined Casey and Charlie on their afternoon walk. He was delighted!

peace.

It was a peaceful walk at High Park. Molly, Olive, Ben, Belle, Dutch and Baxter took their time through the park, exploring the outdoors. Bapsi, Watson and Bailey all enjoyed the views lakeside during their strolls. Abby, Cookie, Zok, Rocky and Harley got lots of attention while out and about.

short week

The day was filled with lots of walks, fresh air and sunshine. The dogs and I enjoyed them all  :)

calm and collected

While out and about, Baxter, Ben, Belle, Olive, Rocky and Milo received many compliments on how well behaved they were. They walk on-leash well together and form a cohesive pack.
Jake, Otto, Buddy and Sammy explored their surroundings and new smells.

wild wednesday

Ben brought his people and joined the A Dog's Way pack at High Park today. He was in all of his glory with his favourite people and pups to hang out with. He chased around Aarley, Olive and Belle...mediating play. Molly jumped in at times but her favourite jump was into the water then straight to the cement for a roll. Belle stayed perfectly clean until we were heading out of the park, she covered herself in dirt from head to toe. Molly and Belle were very happy, dirty dogs! Olive stops most passing by pooches to play. Dutch got lots of attention around the park because he is too cute.
Back at Camp A Dog's Way, the pups spent their morning enjoying the fresh air breeze through the yard. Lincoln joined the pack at the Creek. Hot day for water play! Keisha, Sasha, Harry, Abby, Cookie, Aarley stayed together walking along the creek stopping for a dip every chance they could.

good long weekend..

The pups must've had a great long weekend. All were wiped! At High Park.. Ben, Olive, Belle and Rocky took it real easy but enjoyed their walk to the fullest. The Camp A Dog's Way pack headed to the Creek for the afternoon. Their romp was filled with trails, swimming and fetch.
