it's a dirty dog day!

despite the brisk air, the ground was soft under our pitter-pattering paws.. the dogs tore through the muddy trails, kicking up a mess as they passed by. the mud was everywhere! we were all covered from nose to tails.. but I guess what they say is true, a dirty dog is a happy dog!

good day at the dog park!

any day at the dog park is a good day!! the dogs & I enjoyed a day full of adventures.. there were games of fetch, leisurely strolls and races through the neighbourhood. looking forward to warmer weather ahead!

the rain just missed us.. for the most part!

Abby arrived this morning, ready to stay for a visit! she joined Harley for a block run, and then both picked up Buster for a walk, along a different route. Muskoka, Sparky, Princess, Otto, Odin and Oscar were very well behaved pups at the park, getting lots of praise & attention! Nelly just missed the rain on her neighbourhood stroll, while Dyte got lucky the rain stopped for her walk and Watson was relieved to see the sunshine and no clouds. Megan joined Watson for a romp before heading to the lake with Ben, Jasper, Belle & Cookie. we had a ton of fun.. each of the pups having an adventure of their own!

taking our time today!

at Marie Curtis this morning, we took our time.. Joey, Emery, Drift & Maddie were popular at the park. they had followers & playmates from all directions. Hunter, Buster & Harley trotted alongside joining in the fun at their lesisure! Joey tagged along for an extra long romp at lambton park with Sparky, Molly, Maddie, Princess, Megan & Muskoka. we basked in the warm sunshine, enjoying adventures through the paths & forests. the pups played well with another, having a good ol' doggy time! Odin was excited to see cute blond Joey in the car. Lila, Belle, Ben, Dutch and Cookie ran young, wild & free when we got to the lake. there was so much excitement with other packs, that each dog had a playmate of their own. we swam, ran & took our time having fun!

and the muddy paws are back!

Harley, Maddie, Megan, Buster, Emery & Drift went for an active walk this morning to check things out around the 'hood.
Megan then joined Hunter for his walk.. the pair walked side by side, stopping to sniff out the popular spots along our way.
Muskoka, Princess, Sparky, Maddie & Molly were showered with rain as they romped through the fields, chasing after each other & fun!
Dora was not impressed with the rain on her parade this afternoon.. she kept it short & sweet, ready for a cuddle when she got back in.
Nelly, Dutch, Lila, Belle, Ben & Atticus hit the trails at Lambton Park for their afternoon walk. the pack was full of energy as they tore around, up & down the park.

not just a doggy day

Hunter joined the campers for a very happy morning romp at Marie Curtis.. he fell tails over paws with Emery and followed her around the park. while she was busy ruffing around with her bro, Drift. Maddie made friends all around.. she especially had fun with Megs. the two tore around in circles after one another. Harley was happy to see park friend, Molly and frolicked about with her. Cape was extra randy today, romping with many.
Lila, Madison, Muskoka, Otto, Princess and Sparky headed to the lake for a perfect way to spend their day! we did laps through the park, taking swim breaks for those interested. Lila & Otto stayed on shore, taking turns chasing each other. Madison and Sparky were in & out for a dip, while Princess & Muskoka stayed entertained on dry land.
Dora made her way through the streets.. enjoying her sunny break!
Atticus, Dutch and Belle walked through High Park along Spring Road and took a detour through the zoo. Dutch was un-phased by our furry friends while Atticus was mesmerized by the Yaks. it was the odd looking birds that got Belle's attention.
Buster was welcomed at camp, with wagging tails. Lola joined the crew for an afternoon playdate.. she loved meeting new friends!
a wonderful way to end the week! :)

in for another warm & sunny day :)

the campers were happy pups this morning, especially when Abby arrived on the scene.. it was park time! Harley, Cape, Drift, Emery, Megan & Maddie were off to Marie Curtis for a morning romp.. we fetched sticks & tennis balls through the park, stopping to sniff out friendly pups along our way.
at Humber bay shores park, all of the pups ended up in the water with the exception of Princess. she stayed on shore, laying in the sun. Belle, Abby, Jasper & Sparky jumped right in, making a splash! Ben & Cookie walked along the shoreline, dipping their toes into the lake.
Dora & Dyte were excited for their sunny & warm midday walk. they pitter pattered through each of their neighborhoods, looking cute as can be!
in the afternoon, we were off to Marie Curtis park for rounds of fetch & laps around.. Odin, Oscar, Otto, Muskoka, Jake, Dixie & Abby enjoyed the sunshine & great walk! Odin, Jake & Abby kept running through the park, all engaging in a chase. Oscar was ecstatic to see Dane friend, Blaze.. they danced & hugged, embracing each other with pup love. Otto didn't waste any time getting down & dirty.. he rolled around in the dirt as soon as he set foot in the park. Dixie stayed nearby making friends with a Bassett hound pup, while Muskoka made friends with all the dog owners.
back at camp, we headed down to the etobicoke creek to wrap up our day with a scenic swim. it was peaceful & serene, a magical way to end our day! :D
